A few helpful answers about the course and the journey ahead.
CLEAR is a structured learning pathway within Inner Shift Leadership. It develops five capacities—Compassion, Level 3 Awareness, Emotional Flexibility, Aligned Action and Resilient Habits—to support psychological flexibility and True Self Leadership.
It means being able to notice your inner experience, make room for difficult thoughts and emotions, and choose actions guided by your values. The aim is not to feel positive all the time; it is to respond with greater openness, awareness and intention.
The course begins with an orientation that introduces the Inner SHIFT and explains why change can be difficult. You can begin with curiosity and a willingness to reflect, then build your understanding through the modules.
The course contains 28 lessons across an orientation and five core modules, supported by six module workbooks and a CLEAR Practical Toolkit. Lessons include reflection questions and practical exercises to help you apply the ideas.
Start with the orientation and continue through the five modules in order. Pause to complete the reflections and workbook activities, then try the practices in everyday situations. Return to the lessons when a particular skill would be helpful.
The course does not promise the absence of difficult emotions. Its focus is helping you relate to those experiences with more compassion, awareness and flexibility, and take meaningful action even when discomfort is present.
No. CLEAR is an educational personal-development course, not a substitute for individualized mental-health treatment, diagnosis or medical advice. You can discuss its suitability with your qualified care professional if you need personal guidance.
